Soccer Game Preview: Cajon vs. Citrus Valley

Cajon hasn't had much luck against Citrus Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cajon Cowboys will be playing at home against the Citrus Valley Blackhawks at 5:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Cajon's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They beat Redlands by a goal, winning 1-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cowboys as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sofia Avalos, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Citrus Valley hasn't lost a match since December 21, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and Beaumont finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Citrus Valley's draw gives them a new season record of 5-10-3. As for Cajon, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4-1 and their overall record up to 3-9-4.
