Soccer Recap: Cartersville Takes a Loss

Cartersville's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Paulding Spartans. Cartersville just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Cartersville's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for South Paulding, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cartersville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th. South Paulding will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Paulding County at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. The timing is sure in South Paulding's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Paulding County have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
