Shawnee Mission West and Shawnee Mission South are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Shawnee Mission West has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 237.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Shawnee Mission South struggles in that department as they've been averaging 159.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Shawnee Mission West came up short against Shawnee Mission South in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, falling 24-14.
