Soccer Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Hoover after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Fresno Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Fresno, their record now sits at 2-12-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will host Sanger West at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Sanger West is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season. As for Fresno, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. Fresno is facing Roosevelt at the right time seeing as Roosevelt is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
