Soccer Recap: Southwest EC Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Southwest EC after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They lost 4-1 to the Imperial Tigers. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Eagles it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Daniella Romo, who's now up to five this season.

Southwest EC dropped their record down to 6-12-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Imperial, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Southwest EC and Imperial could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Southwest EC (ranked 877th) will meet Brawley (ranked 418th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Imperial will square off against Coachella Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 556 places (838 vs. 282).
