Baseball Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

If Cherokee was riding high fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Johns Creek last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Etowah Eagles on Tuesday, falling 11-3. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Etowah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.

While Cherokee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
