Volleyball Recap: Boulder Creek Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Boulder Creek had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Apollo Hawks with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Boulder Creek not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Apollo between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

Cruz Kaikala paced Boulder Creek's offense, picking up ten kills. Kaikala got some help from Xian Gonzalez and his 26 assists. JonDante Olar controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Boulder Creek's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Apollo, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Boulder Creek will welcome Brophy College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Apollo will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th.
