Softball Recap: West Delaware Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dike-New Hartford on Friday, West Delaware came back down to earth. The Hawks fell just short of the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

West Delaware's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Center Point-Urbana, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

West Delaware didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-3 victory against Wapsie Valley on the 14th. Center Point-Urbana has also already played their next game (against Grinnell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
