Baseball Game Preview: Brimfield Indians vs. Fieldcrest Knights

The Brimfield Indians will face off against the Fieldcrest Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Brimfield will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Brimfield needed a bit of extra time to put away Farmington. They had just enough and edged out the Farmers 7-5.

Kaeden Schatsiek made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dane Fagerburg, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Kenney, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Fieldcrest suffered their closest loss since April 16, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of LeRoy by a score of 6-4.

Brimfield's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Fieldcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Brimfield got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Fieldcrest by a conclusive 14-7 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
