Baseball Game Preview: Dutchtown Bulldogs vs. Northgate Vikings

The Dutchtown Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Northgate Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Dutchtown has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Northgate will arrive with four straight victories.

Dutchtown is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since February 18th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Morrow by a score of 5-3.

Devin Kendall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Kobe Hayden, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Even though they lost, Dutchtown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Northgate hadn't done well against McIntosh recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Everything went Northgate's way against McIntosh as Northgate made off with a 10-2 win.

Dutchtown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Northgate, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
