Baseball Recap: Monroe Area Comes Up Short

Monroe Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Oconee County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Monroe Area's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Oconee County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Monroe Area beat the Warriors by a score of 8-7 later that day.
