Baseball Recap: Carson City-Crystal Comes Up Short

Carson City-Crystal had lost ten straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 7-18 to make it 11. They came up short against the Ithaca Yellowjackets, falling 8-0. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Ithaca, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

For Ithaca's part, the team relied heavily on Lucas Little, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Little a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice McDaid, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

While Carson City-Crystal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
