Softball Recap: George Walton Academy Wins Going Away Against Alcovy

George Walton Academy barely beat Alcovy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-2 victory on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

George Walton Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Alcovy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, George Walton Academy will challenge Lake Oconee Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alcovy, they will square off against Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
