Softball Recap: Syracuse Takes a Loss

Raymond Central hit Syracuse with a eight-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rockets came up short against the Mustangs, falling 12-6. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Syracuse saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Starzec, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Starzec has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another was Mayson Sprague, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Syracuse's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Raymond Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
