Softball Recap: East Jackson Takes a Loss

East Jackson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Franklin County Lions, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 back in August.

East Jackson saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Poelker, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.

East Jackson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Franklin County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-9 record.

Looking ahead, East Jackson will face off against Oconee County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin County, they will take on Hart County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
