Softball Recap: Telfair County Trojans vs. Mt. Zion Eagles

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Telfair County had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Mt. Zion Eagles by a score of 9-4. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Lylah Cate Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Telfair County got a massive performance out of Perry Grace DeLoach, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave DeLoach a new career-high. Keely Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
