Soccer Game Preview: Carroll vs. Perry

The Carroll Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Perry Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Perry will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Carroll extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand MOC-Floyd Valley a 4-0 shutout. Carroll might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Perry, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Clarke 3-0 last Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Perry were the better team in the second half.

Alex Zamora and George Krohn scored all three of Perry's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 8-6-1.

Carroll might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Perry when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
