Westville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Casey-Westfield Warriors 5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Westville's record now sits at 14-11. As for Casey-Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Coincidentally, Westville and Casey-Westfield will both be playing Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
