After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwestern Lehigh, Bangor was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals by a score of 55-42. The win was some much needed relief for the Slaters as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading Bangor to victory were Avery Nelson and Kaylynn Figurski. Nelson went 6-for-15 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds, while Figurski dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. What's more, Figurski also posted a 45% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Grace Hartzell was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.
Bangor was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 8-3 when they've passed the ball that well.
