Baseball Preview: Winthrop Ramblers vs. Mount Abram Roadrunners
The Winthrop Ramblers are taking a road trip to face off against the Mount Abram Roadrunners at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Winthrop has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Brennan Mitchell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one triple. Mount Abram is undefeated when Mitchell posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaiden Longley, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in June of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Eben Laliberte, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
