Basketball Recap: Western Takes a Loss

Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 32-22 to the Saddleback Roadrunners. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Roadrunners apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Western's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Saddleback, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bolsa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. After both having extra time off, Saddleback and Century will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
