Cross Keys's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Stone Mountain Pirates as the Cross Keys Phoenix made off with a 7-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

The victory got Cross Keys back to even at 1-1. As for Stone Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Cross Keys will challenge Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Stone Mountain will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 28th.
