Softball Recap: Golden Beats Pomona for Their Fourth Straight Win

Golden waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Pomona Panthers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Demons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

The team relied heavily on Lucca Merz, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Daely Peterson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Golden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive games.

Golden's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Pomona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.

Coincidentally, Golden and Pomona will both be playing Dakota Ridge the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Demons will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
