Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon was the 15-2 winner over Mt. Bethel Christian Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mount Vernon Mustangs fell just short of the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Vernon's record now sits at 5-3. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, with the win, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Vernon will welcome King's Ridge Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, they will take on Wesleyan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wesleyan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
