Bradenton Christian extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-0. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the DeSoto County Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for DeSoto County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-1 Fort Myers (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 91.7% over those games).

Despite the loss, DeSoto County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Hancock had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Hancock.

Bradenton Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Fort Myers on the 6th. As for DeSoto County, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Ida Baker on the 6th.
