The result was nothing new for Hawthorne Math & Science Academy, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Hawthorne Math & Science Academy found their leader in underclassman Jocelyn Perez, who scored 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Perez has scored at least 25% of Hawthorne Math & Science Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chidera Muogboh, who scored 8 points.
Hawthorne Math & Science Academy pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.33 points. As for Environmental Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Hawthorne Math & Science Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on New Roads at 3:30 p.m. on December 5th. New Roads will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 941st, while Hawthorne Math & Science Academy is ranked 286th). As for Environmental Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Vistamar at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
