Baseball Recap: Marian Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Marian Central Catholic managed to slip by Chicago Hope Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hurricanes lost 14-4 to Chicago Hope Academy on Monday. The Hurricanes just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Owen Neuzil made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Conor Brandt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Marian Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Chicago Hope Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

While Marian Central Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
