Fremont is 1-9 against Lincoln Southwest since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tigers will host the Silver Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fremont was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past Lincoln East 3-2. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Fremont wouldn't go down easily and took Lincoln East into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-15, 17-25, 15-10.

Everleigh Kerkman and Piper Evert were among the main playmakers for Fremont as the former had eight digs and one assist and the latter had six digs. That's the most digs Evert has posted over her last six matchups.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Southwest made easy work of Lincoln High on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Lincoln Southwest was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-16, 25-19.
Lincoln Southwest found their leader in sophomore Taryn Weigel, who had eight digs and six assists. Ansley Curry also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Lincoln Southwest's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Fremont, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Fremont has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6 aces per game. However, it's not like Lincoln Southwest struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
