Preview: Hanover Central Wildcats vs. Calumet New Tech Warriors
The Hanover Central Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Calumet New Tech Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hanover Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Last Friday, Hanover Central got themselves on the board against Hammond Central, but Hammond Central never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wolves 35-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Hanover Central, who have now won seven games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Matt Koontz and Caiden Verrett were among the main playmakers for Hanover Central as the former rushed for 25 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 62 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Calumet New Tech's 9-2 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Gary West Side by a score of 30-28.
Despite the loss, Calumet New Tech got a solid performance out of Amarion Chandler-Terrell, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Hanover Central's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Calumet New Tech has not been sharp this season, as they've lost seven of their first nine contests, which leaves them at a 2-7 record this season.

It's a different story for Calumet New Tech, though, as they've been averaging only 56.8 per game. How will Calumet New Tech fare against such a dominant running game?
