Basketball Recap: Costa Mesa Mustangs vs. NOVA Academy Eagles
Costa Mesa gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the NOVA Academy Eagles 55-32. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.
Costa Mesa was led to victory by Leilani Quero and Aaliyah Terry. Quero earned 18 points along with five steals, while Terry dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ariana Mendoza, who posted eight points plus eight rebounds.
Costa Mesa will host Estancia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for NOVA Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Norco at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th.
