Baseball Recap: Indianapolis Lutheran Takes a Loss

Indianapolis Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beech Grove Hornets. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Indianapolis Lutheran saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Meaney, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Indianapolis Lutheran now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Beech Grove, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-11-1.

Looking ahead, Indianapolis Lutheran will take on McCutcheon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Beech Grove, they will challenge Southport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
