Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Rock Creek). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Madill Wildcats on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cougars needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

North Rock Creek is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Madill, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

North Rock Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 win against Ada on the 21st. As for Madill, they will square off against Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
