Gilroy and Live Oak are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will host the Acorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gilroy will be strutting in after a victory while Live Oak will be coming in after a loss.

Gilroy is headed into the match having not lost since December 17 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Willow Glen get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for Gilroy in their matchups with Willow Glen: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Live Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Teresa. That's two games in a row now that Live Oak have lost by exactly two goals.

Live Oak's loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Gilroy, their win bumped their record up to 12-2-3.
