The Priory Panthers will head out to challenge the Menlo School Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Priory has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Saturday, Priory humbled University with a 71-36 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 25 points or more this season.

Priory's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vienn Sheng led the charge by going 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on her way to 18 points. That's the most points Sheng has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ugreat Daniels, who went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.
Priory smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Menlo School was beaten by Pinewood 70-42 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Panthers are ranked ninth).
Priory will have to contain Ruiqi Liu as she made an impact in Menlo School's last game. She went 8 of 15 to rack up 21 points and six boards. Liu is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games she's played. Saanvi Upreti was another key player, putting up seven points.
Priory has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Menlo School, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Priory has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Menlo School struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Priory beat Menlo School 51-44 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Priory since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
