Baseball Recap: Port Jervis Takes a Loss

Port Jervis suffered their biggest loss since April 24th on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (13-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Rudy Schouten was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Port Jervis' loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Beacon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Port Jervis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beacon, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Our Lady of Lourdes on the 28th.
