Palmer Ridge dropped down to 23-5 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Holy Family Tigers by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.
Pam Boyarko spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Corinna Arellano made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run.
