Basketball Game Preview: Dana Hills Dolphins vs. Aliso Niguel Wolverines

Dana Hills is 1-9 against Aliso Niguel since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Dana Hills Dolphins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Aliso Niguel Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dana Hills is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against San Juan Hills on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dana Hills lost 68-44 to San Juan Hills. While losing is never fun, the Dolphins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Stallions are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, Aliso Niguel took a blow against San Juan Hills on Thursday, falling 52-25. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Stallions recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Aliso Niguel's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-11. As for Dana Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-17.

Dana Hills took their win against Aliso Niguel in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 48-27. Does Dana Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Aliso Niguel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
