Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brody Schwinn and Brixton Schwinn Lead Jefferson West to Victory

It was a proper cat-fight when Jefferson West took on Holton on Friday. The Tigers walked away with a 27-17 victory over the Wildcats. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 48-9 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

A big part of Jefferson West's victory came down to the chemistry between Brixton Schwinn and his top target Brody Schwinn. Brixton threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns while Brody picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Despite the loss, Holton still got an impressive performance from Korban Wilson, who rushed for 115 yards and one score. Wilson showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 51 yards. Alec Frazier helped out on the ground, rushing for 98 yards.

Jefferson West's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average over those games. As for Holton, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Coming up, Jefferson West will challenge Perry-Lecompton/Bishop Seabury Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holton, they will venture away from home to face off against Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holton will need to watch out since Hayden has now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
