Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Jaguars vs. Walker Wolverines

The Jackson Jaguars will square off against the Walker Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jackson comes in on six and Walker on three.

It was a proper cat-fight when Jackson duked it out with Southwest DeKalb on Saturday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-7 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Walker won against Mount Paran Christian last Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Wolverines walked away with a 9-5 win over Kell.

Jensen Kown looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Grant Addison was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Trav Tatom was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Walker kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Walker, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.

Jackson was able to grind out a solid victory over Walker in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 5-0. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
