Soccer Recap: Palos Verdes Has No Trouble Against Huntington Beach

After losing to Huntington Beach the last time they met, Palos Verdes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Palos Verdes Sea Kings' way against the Huntington Beach Oilers on Saturday as the Palos Verdes Sea Kings made off with a 4-1 victory. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Oilers are ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palos Verdes' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Huntington Beach, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing JSerra Catholic the next time they take the pitch. Huntington Beach will host JSerra Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Palos Verdes will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
