Softball Recap: Blackwell Takes a Loss

Blackwell came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Hennessey Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Maroons have suffered since September 2nd.

Blackwell's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Hennessey, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blackwell will venture away from home to take on Ponca City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hennessey, they will head out to square off against Watonga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hennessey is facing Watonga at the right time seeing as Watonga is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
