Football Recap: Walled Lake Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Walled Lake Central lost against South Lyon back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings were beaten by the Lions 49-7. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Lions are ranked 47th).

Majd Abdalla threw for 166 yards and one TD. Eric McFarland was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Walled Lake Central is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for South Lyon, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Walled Lake Central will take on Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for South Lyon, they will welcome Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
