The South Lyon Lions (South Lyon, MI) football trounced the visiting Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI), 49-7 in Friday's league outing.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 17. South Lyon will attempt to better on its 7-0 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 2-5 record after their 31-7 league loss to Allen Park (Allen Park, MI).

The Vikings (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Milford (Highland, MI). The Mavericks enter the Lakes Valley game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Milford overwhelmed Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI), 49-9, in a league outing.
