The South Lyon Lions football team scored 48 points and held the visiting Walled Lake Northern Knights to 0 in the Lions league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Lions face the Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI) in a Lakes Valley challenge, on Friday, September 19. South Lyon will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 45-6 league win over Kettering (Waterford, MI).

The Knights (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI). The Warriors enter the Lakes Valley challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Walled Lake Western was ripped by Mott (Waterford, MI), 42-34, in a league challenge.
