Softball Recap: First Presbyterian Day Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

First Presbyterian Day and Calvary Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but First Presbyterian Day had to settle for second. They came up short against the Knights, falling 8-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Vikings haven't been shut out since back in September.

First Presbyterian Day saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyric Jones, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

First Presbyterian Day moved to 21-4 with that loss, which also ended their 13-game winning streak. As for Calvary Christian, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-2.

Coincidentally, First Presbyterian Day and Calvary Christian will both be playing Strong Rock Christian the next time they take the field. The Vikings will head out to face the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
