Softball Recap: Central Has No Trouble Against Jefferson County

Central barely beat Jefferson County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 22-6 margin over the Warriors on Tuesday. The Chargers have beaten the Warriors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on MacKenzie Anderson, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Neal, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They are 8-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Central back to even at 11-11. As for Jefferson County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Coincidentally, Central and Jefferson County will both be playing Dodge County the next time they take the field. The Chargers will host the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
