Soccer Game Preview: St. Lucy's vs. Rancho Cucamonga

St. Lucy is 1-9 against Rancho Cucamonga since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The St. Lucy's Regents will head out on the road to take on the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Rancho Cucamonga took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Lucy's, who comes in off a win.

St. Lucy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Los Osos with a sharp 3-0 win. The Regents might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

Despite a strong season so far, Rancho Cucamonga has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chino Hills on Monday.

Rancho Cucamonga's loss dropped their record down to 13-7-2. As for St. Lucy's, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-6-4.

St. Lucy's came out on top in a nail-biter against Rancho Cucamonga in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Lucy's since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
