Softball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Blanchard's Winning Streak

Blanchard dropped down to 27-6 on Monday, ending the team's 18-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Carl Albert Titans, falling 8-0. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Titans when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Carl Albert, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Carl Albert's part, Madison Ethridge was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Ethridge has posted since back in August. Alexis Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Blanchard will head out to square off against Yukon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carl Albert, they will square off against Mustang at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
