Basketball Recap: Union City Bears vs. Mercyhurst Prep Lakers
Union City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 50-33 fall against the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-47 back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Union City lost, don't look at Brooke Vantassel. Despite the final result, she went 8 of 14 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Hannah Cole was another key player, putting up five points.
