Basketball Recap: Mehek Ansari's Big Game Can't Quite Lead La Jolla over Scripps Ranch + How To Watch

La Jolla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. The contest between the Vikings and the Scripps Ranch Falcons didn't end well, with the Vikings falling 56-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-38 two weeks ago.

La Jolla lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mehek Ansari, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Soila Chadwick, who earned 11 points.

La Jolla's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Scripps Ranch, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Jolla will welcome Bishop's at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scripps Ranch, they will be playing at home against Grossmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will be up against the Foothillers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
